O’zapft is! | Briar Tobacco Pipe
Even though Oktoberfest is a wild celebration of all aspects of German culture — food, music, dancing, games — it’s obviously the beer that makes the Munich festival so famous. It’s my favorite style to drink and I look forward to sampling a wide variety of Oktoberfests every year. This collection was designed to mirror the amber glow of the signature Märzen brew and to capture the warmth and camaraderie of a shared mug.
To open the festival, the mayor of Munich hammers a tap into the first keg of Oktoberfest beer, then announces O’zapft is! meaning "It’s tapped!" This moment is highly symbolic and marks the beginning of the beer pouring and festivities.
This pipe is part of the Oktoberfest Collection.
